INSTITUTIONAL PROJECTS

ST LEONARD EMERALD ST
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

Clinton House was originally two homes built in the 1880’s. In the 1980’s they were joined to create the original St. Leonard’s Facility on Emerald Street. This project completely renovated the previous facility and added space to all three floors.

While the number of residence remained the same, additional internal space was needed for accessibility in the form of a new elevator and fully accessible bedrooms and washrooms, space for new programs such as the reporting centre, improved personal accommodation through larger bedrooms and more support spaces such as two new lounges.

Note that the brick walls are the former exterior walls of the original two houses.
